４月「入学式」
April ‘Entrance Ceremony’
ニュージーランドの公立小学校の Term 2 開始に合わせ、ワイタケレ日本語補習校の新年度が始まります。新入生の入学を全校で祝います。
The Waitakere Japanese Supplementary School new school year starts at the same time as the start of Term 2 at New Zealand public elementary schools. At that time, we celebrate all new students joining the school.
７月「七夕まつり」
July ‘Tanabata Festival’
七夕にちなんだクラフトや紙芝居、遊びなど、日本の文化体験を楽しみます。また、和太鼓などのゲストを招いて、素敵なパフォーマンスを間近で楽しむことができます。
Enjoy Japanese culturel experience such as crafts, games and etc. And wonderful performance up close by guest musicians,inculuding Wadaiko drummers.
１1月「運動会」
December ‘Sports Day’
全校児童・幼児が赤組と白組に分かれ、徒競走、玉入れ、リレーや綱引きなど、様々な競技で競い合います。保護者、先生、ボランティアのお姉さんお兄さん達も参加します。
All children from the elementary school and kindergarten are divided into red and white teams and compete in various competitions such as running races, ball throwing, relays and tug of war. Parents, teachers, volunteer sisters and brothers also participate.

3月「学習発表会」
April ‘School Recital’
一年間の学習の集大成を、劇、歌、ダンス、スピーチなど各クラスが様々な演目を通して発表します。子どもたちが、表現することの楽しさや、協力することの喜びを感じ、認め合う態度を学ぶ場です。
Each class presents the culmination of their year’s work through various performances, such as drama, song, dance, and speech.

Special Events
ジャパンデー：Japan Day
保護者の皆さんが中心となって行うファンドレイズ活動として、子どもたちが楽しめる「にじいろ縁日」のブースを企画・運営し、参加しています。
Through a parent-led fundraising initiative, we take part in Japan Day by hosting the “Nijiiro Festival” booth, creating a fun and enjoyable experience for children.
多彩な学びのプログラム：Special Programs
子どもたちから募ったリクエスト授業や、お楽しみ授業を取り入れています。
これまでには、演奏家や天文学博士、お菓子作りの先生をお招きしたほか、アートや書道など、子どもたちが夢中になって取り組める活動を行ってきました。
「やってみたい」「知りたい」という気持ちを大切にしながら、笑顔あふれる学びの時間を育んでいます。
We incorporate special and request-based lessons inspired by the children’s interests.
In the past, we have welcomed guest instructors such as musicians, an astronomy professor, and a confectionery teacher, as well as offered hands-on activities including art and calligraphy.
